Move Out Instructions
As you transition to the next chapter of your life, we extend our gratitude for being our tenant. While farewells are bittersweet, we’re excited for the journey ahead. Per your lease agreement, please provide a 30-day notice before moving out, even if it coincides with the end of your lease. In case of emergencies, notify us promptly.
Your first step before you embark on your new journey is to please complete our online form. This will begin your 30 day notice period.
To facilitate a seamless move-out process and ensure the prompt return of your security deposit, please adhere to the following
instructions:
Key Return and Inspection:
Upon completing your move, return your keys. We’ll conduct an inspection within three business days and notify you of any deductions from your deposit.
Showing the Property:
According to your lease agreement, we’ll advertise the property’s availability after your move-out. Kindly inform us of your preferred days or times for showing the home to potential tenants.

Keys
Once you’ve vacated your home, your final step is to return your keys. Drop them in our drop box, ensuring they are in an envelope with your address written on the front. You either need to hand your keys to a HPI employee or call us to notify us you are out.

- Kitchen: Clean cupboards, stove, oven, and sweep/mop the floor.
- Living Room: Have carpets professionally cleaned, clean walls, and windows.
- Bedroom: Vacuum closets, dust shelves, and clean baseboards.
- Bathroom: Sanitize toilet, bathtub, sink, and wipe doors/counters.
- Storage Areas, Patios, and Carports: Clean and sweep these areas.
- Lawn and Landscape: Mow the lawn, trim shrubs, and maintain flower beds.
- Understanding Wear and Tear: Normal wear and tear are expected. However, damage due to negligence, abuse, or accidents may result in charges.
- Returning Your Deposit: We deduct repair costs for damage beyond normal wear and tear. Factors like damage extent and length of residence are considered in our evaluation.
